I know it’s so cliché to say, but I can’t quite believe it’s been a whole year (and a little bit) since working here and from day one. I knew I’d found where I wanted to be. I’d be lying if I said that I remembered my first day, because honestly it was all a blur, but I just remember feeling ridiculously nervous. I knew I was going to finally work in the industry I’d wanted to for such a long time, and I was determined to be the best that I could possibly be.

So with little to no experience as a marketing executive, I was massively in the deep end. I spent my first couple of weeks watching Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop tutorials to learn the basics of each, and familiarizing myself with all the different software I now use today. Also along with the help, that everyone was more than happy to give and working closely with the Rach’s, showing me tips and tricks to designing graphics and writing posts. I was given a range of tasks to do such as writing a blog, creating some social media posts along with the graphics for various clients we had. This enabled me to show what I had learnt through Adobe tutorials but also to show my already existing creative side. 

My job as it is today consists of a complete beginning to end management of large scale social media campaigns for brands and helping both local and multi-national businesses improve their brand message via social media. One of my favourite things about the role itself is that each and every day is different and I’m constantly learning new skills. A few examples of what I’ve created in the past year include; for a non-profit organisation, a regional accountants, and a modular & portable building specialists.

Recently my job role has branched out into the sales side of the business too, which is super exciting to know that I’m a part of the growth of the business. Working closely with the team, but mainly Nick, to promote ourselves, retain, and also gain business. I’m thoroughly enjoying becoming more sales oriented and also learning new sales techniques.

The Superfly team as it is today is just the best! They are the greatest people I could have ever of asked to work with, we all love our jobs and have a genuine passion for all that Superfly is and stands for. We work so well together and help each other with day to day tasks, but also with bouncing ideas off of each other to help achieve our personal and Superfly’s goals! I suppose all there is left to say is that I’m so excited to see what the future holds for myself at Superfly and to be a part of the growth journey with everyone by my side!
