In a world where most people’s lives revolve massively around social media, standing out isn’t always easy. I’ve been working at Superfly for just over 7 months, and along the way I’ve picked up some tips and tricks that have helped me a lot when managing pages for clients. Whether you’re looking to grow from a business or a personal perspective, I’ve put some together for you!
1) Engage
Engaging with other people is a great way to establish connections and get yourself known on social media. It also creates a positive image of you or your business if you’re regularly supporting other brands by liking and commenting on their posts and, chances are, they’ll be more likely to do the same for you!
2) Be Responsive
If you’re a business, replying quickly and politely to messages or comments that you receive will give your customers a better experience with you, which therefore makes it more likely that you’ll be recommended to their friends or family. Your customers are the most important part of your business, and making sure that they’re happy and sorting any potential issues quickly and effectively makes all the difference in keeping good relationships with them, as well as maintaining a positive brand image. If you’re looking to grow your personal socials, simply replying back to people’s comments and messages is a good way to make people want to engage with you!
3) Be Positive!
Whilst everyone loves the occasional Facebook rant, posting anything controversial or political could potentially lose a large portion of your followers. It’s best to stay professional but still friendly and ensure nothing posted is going to offend anyone that it reaches. After all – the internet is forever and you never know when this could come back to haunt you. Showing your human side and the occasional ‘behind the scenes’ type photo is a great way for people to relate to you or your business.
4) Content Is Key!
By posting original content you automatically make yourself stand out from the crowd. Posting engaging, interesting and relevant content as a great way to ensure your viewers will want to keep up to date with what you’re doing! Brainstorm new ideas whenever you can, as this will prevent your content from getting repetitive and stale. Use others for inspiration – but don’t copy them directly!
5) Be Yourself!
There’s nothing more enticing than a friendly face, whether it’s for you or your business. Be yourself! People love to see what makes a business tick – and they’ll feel like they can engage with you more if you seem approachable and positive.
So there we have it! I hope you find these tips as useful as I do – happy posting!
