Social media is becoming more and more popular every year. At Superfly we’re all avid users of a variety of social media platforms in our free time. That’s why on this week’s blog we decided to give you a little bit of insight into our favourite social media accounts to follow. From Facebook, to Twitter and even Instagram, here’s a few of my favourites:

• @verge (Twitter) – The Verge is one of my all time favourite sites to visit on a regular basis. They cover not only technology, but science, culture, design and more. I’m a huge fan of their coverage and their Twitter account regularly posts their latest articles, news, videos and pictures.

• @HotUKDeals (Twitter) – I bloody love a good deal. I visit the HotUKDeals website itself multiple times a day; as if that wasn’t enough by following them on Twitter I’m almost guaranteed not to miss any deals. Disclaimer – Whilst HotUKDeals have undoubtedly saved me a lot of pennies, it’s probably resulted in me buying more things than I would have otherwise. But hey, that’s my own fault. If you enjoy grabbing a deal then be sure to follow HotUKDeals to keep updated with the latest popular deals.

• @VideoGamerCom (Twitter) – As a big fan of video games it was only right that a video game related social media account made its way into this list. Videogamer.com are arguably my favourite video gaming site at the moment. They post a ton of amusing videos on Youtube, have a great podcast, and are becoming one of the first to break a lot of news. Their news editor, Dave Scammell (follow him here), is one of the best in the business at getting news first, regularly beating major sites to the punch. Bonus points – they’re based in the UK.

• Simpsons pictures that I gone and done (Facebook) – Chris (Simpsons Artist) is a genius. Originally starting by drawing Simpsons photos, he’s now expanded his repertoire to anything that’s going on at the moment in the news. Not only are his pictures hilariously drawn, but the stories that accompany them are truly incredible. Whilst this is obviously a joke account, he’s consistently able to make me chuckle whenever he releases a new image & story. We often look at social media as a break from our every day lives, so what’s a better way to escape than with a laugh.

• love_food (Instagram) – Appropriately named, if you love food, like myself, then this is a no-brainer. Having only just stumbled across this account a few weeks ago it’s quickly become a favourite. I’m a big fan of foodporn, and this is one of the best Instagram accounts for just that. Love_food regularly post amazing pictures of cakes, pizzas, burgers, cookies and other awesome foods. Warning – if you’re on a diet this account might tip you over the edge.
