An amazing cause, for an amazing person.
Kirsty Longfellow’s battle with Leukaemia started when she was diagnosed in December 2010; she underwent chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a bone marrow transplant but unfortunately the Leukaemia was too aggressive and relapsed. Kirsty then made the very brave decision not to have any more treatment but to spend the time she had left with her family and friends.
Despite everything, Kirsty was determined to raise awareness and support others, and along with the help of her family and friends started organising a very special charity event to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and the Teenage Cancer Trust at Hull, where she was treated.
